Who is this Odd Bird?
Graphic designer, marketer, and artist Sam Shockley has been learning ways to create for decades. She seeks creative solutions that bring whimsy and color into the world without sacrificing a refined finish.
She has a deep love of learning and never stops looking for ways to create. This has led to 2 BFA’s (Furniture Design at VCU and Illustration/Graphic Design at Cornish College). She continued her studies through a Master of Communication at University of Washington.
Formal education aside, she can’t stop herself from joining a class on shoe making, ceramics, or stained glass because she hates not understanding how things work. She has studied drawing/painting, glasswork (hot and cold), wood working, leather, ceramics, fiber arts, and more.
Sam loves to bring vision to reality. Whether you need help with branding or want to art for your wall, she’s excited to work with you.
